When: October 18th 2018
Where: National Library of Latvia (www.lnb.lv )
Address: Mūkusalas street 3, Riga (C,D conference hall)
On October 18, the Ministry of Welfare will organize the Conference "Inclusive design 2018: think, plan and make for everyone", which aims to bring together experts from the Baltic and Nordic countries - recipients of EU fund financing, policy makers, researchers, designers, architects, planners, users and practitioners - all who are interested in achievements and usability in the field of inclusive design, aimed at the accessibility of the built environment and ICT for everyone.
At the conference we will discuss about future opportunities for inclusive design, research and policy making. We will emphasize the value of inclusive design as a strategy and show examples from both Latvia and the Nordic countries. At the conference we will also discuss where we are currently in terms of accessibility in Latvia, what should be done further, how to turn the inclusive design ideas and values into reality and how to break the stereotypes. We will be looking for solutions to make inclusive design an obvious thing for everyone in our community to have equal opportunities with others to take part in everyday life.
